Good-morning, Good-evening, Good-night, to all those who have wandered a bit further than the basics of what BOSSWK is about! We welcome you as family and look forward to connecting with you on a deeper level.
Now that you are here to stay, let's tell you a bit about ourselves. Building Out Sustainable Solutions Week, BOSSWK, supports local artists and creative entrepreneurs with ecological and economical solutions during an immersive series of Fashion, Beauty, Tech and Sustainability.
What does all that mean you say? For starts lets break down ecology and how it affects our economy. Ecology by definition is the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings. We basically want our society to observe their actions and the impact we have on our environment and vice versa. If you want to go a bit deeper, the etymology of ecology comes from the Greek word oikos, meaning 'house', is your house a home? With all that being said how does that play a role in our economy. Simply, if ecology is your house then we need resources and tools, sometimes and in most cases that means finances, to support the sustaining of our dwelling. This is exactly what BOSSWK is looking to support, our home and how we sustain our home through creative innovation!
Our goal is to educate the community on product life-cycle, tech advancements, and artistic innovation through experiential marketing, Web 3.0, and other impactful resources. This may mean digital technology such as live streaming, designing applications, and waste management to name a few. These are possible with collaboration and partnerships within our community to make sure this information is accessible to all.
Therefore this idea was birthed by the funding and support of the City of Boston and their constituents such as Mass Cultural Council and Mass Office of Arts + Culture grants. Fairmount Innovation Lab as our 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor made it possible to receive such funding and build this vision to what it is.
